Team Bios

Coach Jason Neumann has been a key contributor to Vestavia Hills Soccer Club (VHSC) since the early 2000s, bringing decades of experience and leadership to the program. A recipient of the Mike Berticelli Excellence in Coaching Education Award, Jason is nationally recognized for his contributions to the game and his commitment to coaching education.

Since joining United Soccer Coaches in 1995, Jason has impacted thousands of coaches through nearly 100 courses as a member of the National Academy Staff and National Goalkeeper Staff, as well as a U.S. Soccer Grassroots Instructor. He holds a U.S. Soccer A License and United Soccer Coaches Premier and Advanced National Goalkeeping Diplomas.

Jason’s coaching career includes successful stints at Birmingham-Southern College, Mountain Brook High School, and Gwynedd Mercy College, where he achieved a .681 winning percentage and a conference title. He also served as General Manager of the Birmingham Grasshoppers in the USISL and as the United Soccer Coaches Alabama and Mississippi State Director.

Jason’s dedication to the game has made a lasting impact on soccer in Alabama, shaping both players and coaches at every level.
